Trufast Walls Fasteners to attach Cavityrock® Mineral Wool insulation from ROCKWOOL™

If you plan to use Rockwool CavityRock or ComfortBoard Mineral Wool insulation to create a layer of continuous insulation you need to consider your options for permanent and energy efficient attachment… Trufast Walls Fastening Systems is here to support you! The Grip-Lok MW Plate is a versatile solution to attach mineral wool to all substrates. This stick-pin-on-steroids is mechanically attached directly over the air barrier to help seal out air and water. Suitable for mineral wool up to 5 inch in thickness, the flattened Grip-Lok MW Plate can be shot or screwed onto any substrate. The mineral wool panel is impaled onto the barb, and then bent flush to lock the insulation into position. If blind fastener penetrations of the air barrier located behind the layer of insulation has you concerned, Trufast Walls provides the Grip-Deck TubeSeal fastener. The semi-rigid TubeSeal is pre-assembled on the fastener, and extends through the insulation layer and seals the air barrier at the blind fastener penetration. The Grip-Deck TubeSeal fastener can be applied with various washers and channels for continuous insulation attachment, lath attachment for stucco or stone veneer, or rainscreen cladding attachment solutions. For brick veneer cavity walls consider the high performance Thermal-Grip MVA Masonry Veneer Anchor. This innovative anchor is designed with the WedgeSeal feature that self-seals the anchor penetration at the hidden air barrier, while the polycarbonate tube creates a thermal-break between the embedded wire tie and the fastener. When attaching mineral wool to a masonry, brick, or block substrate consider the Plasti-Grip PMF anchor, PMF standing for Plastic Masonry Fastener. These are easy to install by pre-drilling through the insulation and into the masonry substrate with a 5/16-inch diameter drill bit, placing the anchor into the hole, and then tapping until flush with a hammer. No screws, pins, or adhesives are required creating an energy efficient method of mechanical attachment. For even greater labor savings and faster attachment of mineral wool to masonry use the shot-in Thermal-Grip Insulation Fastening System. Multiple fuel-cell powered tools are available to shoot the fasteners directly into concrete, brick, or block…no pre-drilling necessary, just point and shoot! The Thermal-Grip Insulation Pins are available for insulation 1 inch to 6 inch in thickness. Labor and cost saving solutions that ensure sustainable and high-performance air, water, and thermal efficiency of the exterior building envelope…Trufast Walls Fastening Systems is here to support you!
