Use with Grip-Deck screws/fasteners to attach rigid insulation including extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyisocyanurate (polyiso), mineral/rock wool, etc. Use as tested, specified or recommended by every major insulation manufacturer.

2" dia. Thermal-Grip® ci Prong Washer for continuous insulation attachment from Rodenhouse Inc.

The 2" Thermal-Grip® ci prong washers with Grip-Deck® ceramic coated self-drilling screws are the industry leading choice for rigid continuous insulation attachment to steel studs. These fasteners have been utilized by every leading insulation manufacturer in full wall assembly testing for air and moisture penetration resistance as well as for NFPA285 fire propagation. The washers have a solid cap design, which is unique to Rodenhouse. This patented design helps prevent air and moisture from getting through the screw penetration. The larger 2" dia. design has a stiffened center around that screw head, preventing the screw from popping through the washer, and also has a flexible perimeter around that washer that will enable it to flatten out entirely on the surface of the insulation without overdriving and tearing the facer. The Grip-Lok® auto-feed screw gun system with Bullseye® nose adaptor can be used to greatly reduce installed labor costs.
